KAG Ministry is dedicated to teaching the next generation how to establish their own food indepence and ecosystem respect by applying responsible applicable growing practices in any geographical area during all seasons. Our goal is to embody the directives of Jesus Christ when he stated to Peter, "Feed my Sheep" John 21:15-17

Our vision is to create a holistic natural food and herb year-round growing environment to teach children how to live and eat according to God's principles. We believe this is a very important ministry as the overall health and vitality of people and our environment has become seriously compromised due to dependence upon commercially produced, processed, chemically saturated and modified food. Hardly any of it can truly be qualified as "food" in the original and pure sense. Children need to learn they can be in charge of their own food production, health, and choices for personal and environment life-long benefits. Jesus Christ never taught us to rely upon stores, the government, chemicals, the grid, or corporate entities for our food. He taught the opposite. The sermon on the mount where God increased the supply Mathew 5, 6, 7, when the apostles of Jesus were fishing without success until He told them to fish on the "right" side of the boat John 21:6, are prime examples. Jesus when he sent out His apostles for their initial ministry firmly instructed them not to take anything with them but to rely upon God alone for their provision, including the hospitality of others. Luke 9:1-6, Mark 6:7-13, and Mathew 10:1-15 Our children need to be taught to be prepared to be that "hospitality to others" as they grow up and may be called upon by God to help others via excellent food.

Our community is made up of people from all walks of life, united by a shared activated faith in Jesus Christ and the principles He taught and continues to teach via Holy Spirit embodied in Holy Scripture and accompanying writings. It is anyone who wants to engage with our ministry by learning how to be more dependent upon Almighty God in Heaven and less dependent upon the current world operating system. It is anyone who wants to financially support or partner with us to reach our full teaching and outreach potential. Jesus instructed us to spread the Gospel, but we have limited this spread to the written word only. We firmly believe the Gospel includes spreading applicable tools for daily life; we need to feed our bodies and environment properly, not just our hearts and minds.

At KAG Ministry, we believe in striving for 100% off grid independence for all aspects of our lives. This means in our spiritual lives, living standards, habitations, food, medicines, health, wellness, water, animal husbandry, our environment, banking, finances, ALL OF IT. Jesus Christ never taught us dependence on anyone or any system other than our Father in Heaven, Who is our Source and All Sufficiency. Therefore, all buildings and plant/animal productions and husbandry will be eco sustaining and as off grid as possible utilizing methods employed by Indigenous people, the Amish and others who chose a holistic approach to full body health. Being off grid will allow financial resources to be directly employed in food production, land maintenance, and the teaching of children how to grow up on their terms, not in a proscribed grid dependent system resulting in poor life quality, financial stress, and existence rather than living.
Trial and error are a part of the human living experience. There is ALWAYS more than one way to do something. KAG Ministry wants to encourage children to experiment and gain confidence through that process. Growing things is not perfect, mistakes and failures will be made. So what? Did Jesus find fault or did He show and/or guide towards a better way? From seed to meal, children will figure out what works and what doesn't free from condemnation. If something fails, they will learn not to give up but to keep trying. There is no such word as "can't". There is only "I can". Or even better, "I will!".

1) The purchase of land, an initial goal of 30 zoned agricultural acres. The land must have good above and below ground water, timber for light harvesting and to attract game animals. This will provide enough open space for the 800 sq ft greenhouse and zero energy 400 sq ft caretaker's home which is a combined sq footage of 1200 sq ft maximum.
2) Well perking and digging along with a septic tank.
3) Excavating the rectangular area for the caretaker's home and attached walapini greenhouse/learning area.
4) Installing the geothermal heat system and ranch style windmill to pump both electricity and water.
5) Excavate a space for the battery storage and converter shed.
6) Construction of caretaker's quonset hut home and greenhouse structure along with all necessary plumbing and electrical. Cinder blocks will be used below ground for stabilization and solar heat absorption which will be waterproofed on the outside with tar. The Quonset Hut metal house and lexan greenhouse roof will be attached to the ground footers for extra stability and this will be backfilled with earth. This will allow the cinder blocks to absorb solar heat during the day in the greenhouse so it can radiate out at night for consistent year-round warmth.
7) Venting will be installed in the greenhouse and windows in the caretaker's quarters.
8) The greenhouse and home will both be southwest facing to take advantage of all sunlight .
9) The exposed roof and sides of the greenhouse will be of 2 layers of clear polycarbonate panels separated by a layer of air to maximize warmth transference.
10) Venting windows will be installed on the south and north facing walls.
11) A venting fan will be installed at the West entrance roofline.
12)Gutters will be installed along both sides of the exterior roof to capture all rain and snow melt water which will be stored in sunken tanks to prevent freezing.
13) Copper antennes will be placed outside with copper wiring leading to all plant lanes to promote/stimulate root health and growth.
14) Grow lights on timers will be hung to accomodate for shorter winter sunlight hours.
15) Irrigation will be via hose watering utilizing stored water and well water since the greenhouse will be of a manageable size. This negates irrigation material expense as well as clogged line maintenance.
16) To severely minimize daily and seasonal watering and to maximize natural systems, the first 3' of greenhouse floor will be layered with tree and wood debris, cardboard, and paper and then thoroughly soaked over a period of days. This will allow the wood products to become saturated sponges and serve as a permanent below ground water source for the plants. The compost and growing medium will be placed on top of the wood.
17) An interior waterfall pond will be built for a few fish in order to utilize the waste water for fertilization and to promote sound vibration effects which enhances plant growth.
18) A variety of food, herbs, medicinal and citrus plants will be propagated and nurtured to maturity, harvest, canning, recipe development, and cooking.
KAG Ministry will utilize a variety of methods to promote its Mission and educate children. Social media sites, YouTube videos, sending invitations to schools, homeschool groups, church youth groups, and visiting local churches to speak about the Ministry. The goal is to also include the public school children. Cody, Wyoming is a small town of 10,00 and it's easy to get to know people and have them get to know us. We would like to encourage volunteer labor assistance for every aspect of this Ministry so children especially can obtain hands on skill sets. We want to be the "Mike Rowe" of greenhouse skilled labor!
KAG Ministry is a 508(c)(1)(a) Charitable Ministry therefore all financial, material, and labor donations are tax deductible. All donations and records of expenditures will be available on this website for public viewing and accountability. We are accountable by God in Heaven for everything brought to us by HIm through whatever methods. Transparency is key. We will not take any government money since Jesus never did and it always comes with strings.
All food and herbs are either donated to local food banks or individuals, sold at local farmers markets, or canned and consumed for personal use by the youth, their families and the caretaker. Canning and preserving technique instructions will be taught as part of the Ministry as well as teaching children how to develop recipes and cook/use what they have produced. Every step including ground preparation, planting, growing care, harvesting, use and preservations will be part of the learning process. This way the children learn the full circle of food and nutrition.
Commercial chemicals and carcinogenic pesticides will not be used at KAG Ministry since the point is to promote healthy, sustainable food production. God in Heaven has provided natural pest control agents from chickens, to beneficial insects for a symbiotic environment.

Did you know that plants bloom in the early morning hours and close up in the evenings according to the song of birds? Birdsong tones and vibrations promote overall plant growth rhythms so playing these songs during regular daylight and early evening hours is healthy for plants!
